Some of the courses on offer with a brief synopsis include:-

Risk assessment & hazard identification – Workplace risk assessments carried out to meet The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999. This includes a live risk assessment within your workplace.

Health and safety awareness – A basic course, looking at raising awareness with all employees, in your organisation. Covering The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and its key requirements.

Fire extinguisher & fire safety – Fire safety including fire the science of fire, and how to use a fire extinguisher safely.

Working at height- Centered around The Working at Height Regulations 2005, WAH risk assessment, fall prevention, the use of a harness and lanyard, also individual case studies.

Manual handling – Correct manual lifting techniques, risk assessment, including avoidance, mechanical aids, and how your spine operates.

Confined space entry – Covering The Confined Spaces Regulations 1997, risk assessments, air quality analysis, the use of escape sets, rescue and emergency services requirements.

Fork-lift truck training with driving licence – R.T.I.T.B. accredited training provided to ensure the highest standards are delivered to all drivers.

Construction safety – Two courses are on offer here, a basic construction safety course covering excavations, pedestrian and traffic movement, scaffolding (including tower scaffolds), working at height, PUWER 98, LOLER 98 regulations, etc.. Also a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) course, this is a more detailed course covering the requirements to sit the CSCS examination with a view to obtain a nationally recognised card that enables individuals to gain access to U.K. construction sites.

Example: First Aid for Babies, Toddlers and Young Children

Course length: 4 hours

This is a 4 hour course that covers the basics of first aid but aimed at newborn babies, toddlers and young children. Ideal for nurseries as well as new parents.

The course covers resuscitation techniques and common injuries for this age group. There is no independent assessment as this is evaluated throughout the course.
